The Hope Post

Sharing hope one letter at a time in the Oceanside area of Vancouver Island through a Red Post Box of Hope, and beyond!

The red post box, located at the entrance to McMillan Arts Centre in Parksville, is a letter pick-up and drop-off location for the community. People who would like to join me in writing cards that spread joy, hope, and encouragement are welcome to drop their handwritten cards off into the mailbox at any time. Individuals in the community who are in need of some encouragement (if they know of someone who is) are welcome to take a card that will hopefully brighten their day!

A big thank you to the McMillan Arts Centre and the Oceanside Community Arts Council board for their support and for allowing me to use their property to set up the mailbox. It's the perfect location... central, public, and accessible!

Follow this journey of sharing hope and joy with my community through social media... search for 'The Hope Post'.

Has one of the letters inspired or encouraged you in some way? I'd love to know!

Letter Writing: A Ministry For Anyone

Read my essay that Love is Moving Magazine published about writing to those in prison, 'Remembering My Imprisoned Neighbor'.

Here are two articles from PQB Newspaper and Yukon News on writing to care homes and hospice units at Christmas (a ministry that continues year after year, thanks to the ladies at Oceanside Community Church!)
