DailyHaiga has published another one of my photo haiga! I'm always super stoked to see my poetry published but photo haiga especially as it combined my love of poetry with my love for visual art.

About the haiku and photograph:
This photo was taken a few summers ago on Vancouver Island. I hardly remember taking it but it does pair beautifully with my haiku. Growing up in the little harbor town of Westport, Ireland, I'm used to seeing a lot of seagulls around, especially when the weather begins to turn and they seek shelter in the town center (along the mall if you're a resident!). They always look so official in the way they inspect you as you pass by, reminding me of guard on patrol!
